Abstract: The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in local governance has the potential to revolutionize public administration, particularly in developing regions. This study examines the application and impact of AI in local governance in Andhra Pradesh, India. Andhra Pradesh has been at the forefront of leveraging technology for governance, using AI-powered solutions to enhance efficiency, transparency, and citizen engagement. AI is employed in areas such as public service delivery, infrastructure management, predictive analytics for decision-making, and social welfare program monitoring. Key initiatives include real-time governance systems, predictive policing, and AI-driven agricultural support platforms. The use of AI has improved service delivery through automated grievance redressal mechanisms, data-driven policymaking, and real-time monitoring of government schemes. Despite these advancements, challenges such as data privacy, digital literacy, and infrastructure limitations persist. This paper emphasizes the need for inclusive policies, ethical frameworks, and capacity building to ensure that AI-driven governance fosters equitable development in Andhra Pradesh and serves as a model for other regions. The findings suggest that with strategic planning and stakeholder collaboration, AI can significantly enhance local governance, paving the way for sustainable and citizen-centric development.
