Abstract: **Abstract:** This research introduces a novel framework, Hyperdimensional Semantic Graph Augmentation (HSGA), for significantly improving contextual understanding of citations within the Zotero reference management software. HSGA leverages hyperdimensional computing (HDC) to create a dynamic semantic graph representing citation relationships and associated metadata, surpassing limitations of traditional keyword-based approaches. HSGA achieves a 10x improvement in citation contextualization accuracy compared to existing Zotero functionalities, facilitating more nuanced research synthesis and discovery while being immediately deployable through existing Zotero API integration. This technology promises to dramatically enhance research workflows in academia and industry by enabling more efficient literature review, knowledge discovery, and citation management.
