Abstract: Transgender people have a long history in this world. They have held various positions as assistants to kings, guardians of the palace, and commanders. There is a lot of information about them in the epics and Puranas. Their primary job is to cultivate sprouts during festivals in temples. It is a belief that they are invited to auspicious occasions like marriage and childbirth to receive blessings. This article examines why transgender people, who were originally seen as incarnations of God, were later forced to do menial jobs.
