Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study examines young people's attitudes and investing habits toward gold, with a particular emphasis on Coimbatore. Knowing how the younger generation perceives and interacts with gold is essential since it still has cultural, emotional, and financial significance in India. The study looks into young people's knowledge, attitudes, and trust in relation to different gold investment possibilities, such as digital gold, physical gold, gold exchange-traded funds, and sovereign gold bonds. The main determinants of their investing choices, including market developments, digitization, financial objectives, and risk perception, are also examined. The research offers valuable insights on evolving investment patterns by contrasting gold with other investment options such as stocks, mutual funds, real estate, and cryptocurrencies. Data collected through surveys and analysis sheds light on emerging trends and offers recommendations for financial institutions and policymakers to better connect with young investors in Coimbatore.
