ThrombUS+ D3.4: Ultrasound Transducer Control and Image Formation

Abstract: This deliverable describes the activities and outputs related to Thrombus+ Task 3.4 “Ultrasound transducer control and image formation”. These mainly include the following: beamformer board design, beamformer housing (case), connectors, including pin map and specifications, firmware and software, and ultrasound beamforming signal processing functions. The beamformer (BF) is an essential part of the Ultrasound Module (USM), and its specifications are derived from document D6.1 “Product Design Specifications” and discussions with the project partners. The deliverable document describes the beamformer block diagram, its communications with other hardware and software components, the structure of the software modules used to control it, and drawings of the proposed beamformer housing (case).
