La historicidad del proceso a Jesús
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: What was the trial of Jesus like? Can historiography accurately reconstruct the events? Is it historically possible to prove that such a trial actually took place? Why was Jesus judged and condemned? From the academic perspective of Biblical Literature and Archaeology, and using the tools of the historical-critical method, it is possible to approach the figure of the historical Jesus and attempt to trace the essential outlines of the most decisive and seemingly well-known episode of his life—an episode which, nevertheless, is full of contradictions in the sources that have come down to us. It raises numerous questions for the reader, questions that can only be answered through an understanding of the collective mentalities of first-century Palestine.
