Deconstructionist Approaches to Innovative Design Strategies for Seamless Dresses

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study, grounded in deconstructionist theory, offers an in-depth exploration of innovative design pathways for seamless dresses. By dismantling and unconventionally reassembling traditional design elements, deconstructionism disrupts the conventional “perfect proportion,” opening fresh perspectives for seamless-dress creation. The research examines structural, material, symbolic, and sustainable innovations, validating their feasibility through practice-based case studies. Findings show that seamless dresses achieve design optimization via zero-waste cutting, three-dimensional modeling, reinterpretation of traditional symbols, and material innovation. The paper also identifies key challenges—pattern control, fabric selection, and market acceptance—and proposes counter-strategies leveraging digital technology, expanded textile choices, and intensified market education. Future research should investigate functional designs for special scenarios, integrating digital tools to advance the sustainable development of seamless dresses.
