Implementation of DC Microgrid for Portable Illumination System

Abstract: Ever increasing demand and limited sources has created the imbalance in demand and supply. In order to create the balance in this situation, dc microgrid plays a very important role. DC microgrid is best suitable microgrid from interfacing the renewable energy sources which are DC sources. This paper highlights on the implementation of a prototype for laboratory purpose. It interfaces renewable energy with the load. Solar photovoltaic which is the scattered energy source and is time dependent source is used one of the prominent energy source. This prototype is used for illumination. It is made reliable by using energy storage element such as battery. Thus it contributes to clean, sustainable and reliable solution.
