The study focused on this recent period because digital technology is constantly evolving and its impact on government is significant. This analysis looked at the theories used in the published papers, the methods employed be the previous researchers, digital technology focused by the researchers and the different perspectives on the relationship between digital technology and public governance. This literature review reveals that there is a lack of consistency in paradigms. The review also identified some methodological biases.
