Teacher Coordinator Leadership Styles and Stakeholders Engagement on Adopt a School Program: Mixed Method Study

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study assessed the relationship between teacher coordinator leadership styles and stakeholder engagement in the success of the Adopt-a-School Program using a mixed-methods design. Quantitative data were gathered from 171 participants through surveys, while qualitative insights were obtained from open-ended responses. Findings revealed that teacher coordinators demonstrated average levels of transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire leadership styles, excelling in providing development opportunities and enforcing procedural adherence. Stakeholder engagement was also average, with higher volunteerism but limited collaboration. Despite these moderate ratings, program implementation was very extensive, particularly in feedback mechanisms and resource improvement. Statistical analysis indicated no significant interaction between leadership styles and stakeholder engagement on implementation, nor significant differences based on implementation levels. However, qualitative data showed that inclusive leadership enhanced stakeholder participation, leading to improvements in school resources and student learning outcomes. The integration of quantitative and qualitative results highlights the importance of strategic leadership and engaged partnerships in sustaining education programs.
