Abstract: The traditional diets of a society can be found widely in Sangam literature. All the food items needed by humans to survive are gifts given by nature. A man without clothes is half a man, but a man without food becomes an inanimate object. The basic needs of humans are food, clothing, and shelter. In this, it is possible to live as a nomad without clothing and shelter. It is impossible to survive without food, which is considered the primary source of income. The primary occupation of primitive man was to wander in search of food. In this article, Sangam lodging. In this article, it is the purpose of Sangam literature to explain how rich the food, hospitality, and culture of the Tamils were through many sources.
