Abstract: This article explores the syntactic complexity of news reports in English and Uzbek. By analyzing sentence length, clause structures, and the use of subordination, the study reveals significant differences and similarities between the two languages. The findings demonstrate how structural patterns contribute to the clarity, formality, and reader engagement of news texts. This comparative linguistic analysis contributes to understanding cross-linguistic stylistic tendencies in journalistic discourse.
