Abstract: : Religious institutions play a significant role in alleviating excessive guilt by providing spiritual and psychological support to individuals. These institutions offer religious guidance that helps people understand the concepts of repentance and forgiveness, which enhances their hope for personal renewal. Religious rituals, such as prayer and fasting, help soothe and purify the soul, promoting a sense of inner peace. Additionally, religious principles foster self-forgiveness, encouraging individuals to accept their sins and work on improving themselves rather than enduring continuous guilt. The religious environment also provides a supportive community where individuals can share their experiences and overcome the psychological isolation they may feel. Furthermore, religious institutions promote divine mercy, which reduces the intensity of self-blame. Moreover, these institutions offer a meaningful interpretation of human errors, reducing the impact of guilt and encouraging individuals tofocus on change and improvement. Keywords : Religious institutions, guilt, spiritual support, psychological support.
