Design and Optimization of Multilevel Inverters for Enhanced Power Quality in Renewable Energy Applications

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Multilevel inverters have gained significant attention in renewable energy systems due to their ability to generate high-quality output voltages with reduced harmonic distortion and lower switching losses. These inverters are widely used in photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy applications to interface renewable energy sources with the grid or load. This paper explores the design and optimization of multilevel inverters to enhance power quality and overall efficiency in renewable energy systems. By employing advanced control techniques and optimal switching strategies, the proposed inverter design minimizes harmonic content and improves energy conversion efficiency. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the multilevel inverter in renewable energy applications, contributing to more stable and reliable power delivery.
