Abstract: This cycle of cross genre work examines themes of reflection written over the course of two years during the author’s time in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Kentucky. While sections of this thesis are intended to function as stand-alone essays, the cycle of stories and poems are to be read in conversation with one another—offering the reader multiple a patchwork of perspectives over the larger body of work.
