Abstract: This article analyzes the practices of innovative farmers for weed management in glyphosate-free largescale farming. Based on practices described in 36 farmer narratives, 12 elementary action logics were identified for weed management. The analysis and classification of combinations of these elementary action logics enabled the identification of 5 generic action logics for glyphosate-free weed management. These generic action logics are differentiated based on socio-economic and technical criteria. This classification is proposed as a tool for agricultural advisors to guide farmers in transitioning to glyphosatefree systems that align with their satisfaction criteria and farm-specific characteristics.
