Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of job insecurity on work-family conflict through the mediating role of job-related anxiety and insomnia and how these variables contribute to increased work-family conflict. The study was conducted on 224 construction sector employees in Islamabad, Pakistan. To test the hypotheses, we employed structural equation modeling using Smart-PLS 4.0. This study contributes to the job insecurity and conflict literature by clarifying the linking role of job-related anxiety and insomnia. The findings suggest that job insecurity can be a significant source of stress, leading to higher levels of job-related anxiety and insomnia. It is necessary to take into account employees' insomnia and job-related anxiety problems since they can significantly impact the association between work insecurity and work-family conflict. This study extends our understanding of the mechanism between job insecurity and work-family conflict by testing the mediating impact of job-related anxiety and insomnia.
