Abstract: This article analyzes the syntactic and semantic features of adverbs used as post-modification in the Uzbek language. In particular, the article examines the role and importance of explanatory, expanding, and emphatic adverbs in linguistics and literature. Examples from the famous works of Abdulla Qadiri are given in the study, and these sentences serve to explain the inner state of the characters and the development of the story more clearly. The article also shows that adverbs in the Uzbek language play an important role in increasing the semantic richness of the text, expanding and emphasizing ideas. Explanatory, expanding and emphatic adverbs interact and help to increase the expressive potential of the language. The results of the study further increase the importance of post-modification in Uzbek language in linguistics and literature.
