Abstract: Teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) in private schools presents unique opportunities and challenges. While these institutions often boast better resources and smaller class sizes, psychological barriers such as anxiety, fear of making mistakes, and lack of confidence can significantly impede students' language acquisition. This article comprehensively explores these barriers, including perfectionism, performance anxiety, and internalized expectations, and proposes tailored strategies for educators. It emphasizes the importance of fostering a growth mindset, integrating emotional intelligence into pedagogy, and utilizing technology for personalized feedback and engagement. By addressing these psychological factors with sensitivity and precision, private schools can create a transformative learning experience that cultivates not only language proficiency but also emotional resilience.
