Abstract: This article discusses the importance of effective leadership in startup projects, especially in the context of Kazakhstan's entrepreneurial ecosystem. It explores the qualities and skills necessary for effective leadership in startup projects, and explores the impact of leadership on startup success. The article also highlights the problems faced by startup project managers, such as limited funding opportunities and lack of institutional support. Strategies for effective leadership in startup projects are discussed, including creating a favorable work environment, setting clear goals and performance indicators, providing mentoring and recommendations to team members, as well as introducing innovations and willingness to take risks. The article concludes with recommendations for aspiring startup managers in Kazakhstan and emphasizes the importance of effective leadership in the success of startup projects.
