The paper also addresses the challenges of achieving alignment, including organizational silos, cultural resistance, and the tension between short-term demands and long-term goals. To overcome these obstacles, recommendations include developing clear strategic objectives, implementing continuous monitoring and feedback mechanisms, and fostering leadership development and cultural change initiatives. Practical implications for business leaders and program managers are provided, offering actionable insights to enhance alignment within their organizations. Future research opportunities are suggested, focusing on the evolving nature of alignment in increasingly complex business environments, with an emphasis on emerging technologies and agile strategies. Ultimately, this paper underscores the importance of strategic alignment as a foundation for sustainable transformation and competitive advantage in program management.
