Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This study explores the evolving role of the family in the face of modern challenges from a psychological perspective. It examines how social, economic, and technological changes reshape family dynamics, particularly in parenting and socialization. Using a critical analytical approach rooted in psychological and sociological theories, the research delves into shifts in family structure and their impact on individuals and society. Key focus areas include the family's role in helping individuals adapt psychologically and socially, the influence of globalization and digital technology on family relationships, and the challenges of modern parenting in an ever-changing world. The study also highlights concerns about the decline of traditional family roles and its effects on children's and adolescents' mental well-being. The findings reveal that while the family remains a cornerstone of personal and social identity, it must adapt to new realities to stay resilient. The study underscores the importance of providing psychological and educational support to families as they navigate these pressures. It also calls for policies that empower families to continue playing their vital role in fostering stability and well-being despite the rapid transformations of the modern era.
