Longitudinal validation of the PROFFIT questionnaire to assess financial toxicity in cancer patients

Abstract: The data uploaded belong to a study focusing on financial toxicity (FT) in oncology, a growing concern even in countries with universal healthcare systems. The study utilized the PROFFIT questionnaire to assess FT among Italian cancer patients and understand its determinants. While prior research established its validity in a cross-sectional analysis, this study aimed to validate it further using longitudinal data. This prospective study was conducted involving 221 cancer patients from 10 Italian centers spanning March 2021 to July 2022.
