Type: preprint
Abstract: This study aims to explore the effects of early Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis on the intellectual abilities of children. The main goal is to address the question: " How can early diagnosis of ASD in children affect their intellectual abilities?" Using a qualitative approach, this study will focus on interviews and observations to gather data. This study seeks to explore and understand the cognitive development of children with early Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnoses. The collected data is expected to show a comparison of intellectual abilities of children diagnosed in early years compared to later in life. The study's focus on qualitative research aims to capture participant experiences, leading to a deeper understanding of the importance of early ASD diagnosis and its advantages for intellectual outcomes in children. This research contributes to a better understanding of the benefits of early detection on intellectual outcomes in children with ASD.
