Abstract: The oil drilling industry has undergone significant transformations with the introduction of advanced technologies aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and minimizing environmental impact. This article explores key advancements in drilling technology that are shaping the future of oil extraction. Innovations such as directional and horizontal drilling, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and managed pressure drilling (MPD) have significantly improved precision, safety, and resource recovery. Additionally, deepwater and ultra- deepwater drilling, along with sustainable and low-carbon solutions, are expanding the industry's reach while addressing environmental concerns.
