Abstract: Located in the heart of Central Asia, the Ferghana Valley enjoys a climate that is conducive to agriculture. However, climate change and the resulting scarcity of water are raising concerns about competition for natural resources, often reduced to “water wars.” In reality, these tensions conceal more complex conflicts linked to the unequal management of resources and the militarisation of borders, requiring a nuanced approach to understand their full scope.
