Migratory narratives: a qualitative investigation supported by artificial intelligence
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This study aims to investigate the migratory experience through a qualitative analysis of narratives from individuals originating from different geographical areas. The collection of these narratives, conducted through semi-structured interviews, serves as an attempt to explore their journey. The focus is on highlighting challenges that migrants face. The integrated support of artificial intelligence (Gemini by Google) for data management and interpretation has allowed for the detailed identification and connection of emerging themes. The collected narratives reveal that, despite the adversities experienced during the journey, migrants demonstrate a remarkable capacity for resilience, exhibiting inner resources that enable them to adapt and respond to challenges. This study seeks to shed light on migrants ability to adapt and grow in adverse contexts. The findings emphasize the need to develop interventions and policies that recognize and value the dignity, resilience, and personal growth potential of migrants, fostering integration processes that are inclusive and respectful of their experiences.
