Abstract: The MIXED project investigated the resilience, efficiency, and sustainability of Mixed Farming and Agroforestry Systems (MiFAS) across European farms, landscapes, and value chains. Project Deliverable D6.4 identifies key transition challenges, including market barriers, regulatory complexities, and knowledge gaps. Policy recommendations emphasize systemic changes, improved funding, capacity building, and regulatory simplification to support MiFAS adoption. The research underscores MiFAS’ role in sustainable agriculture, advocating for CAP reforms and complementary policy instruments to enable a resilient, climate-smart transition.
