Design and Construction of Three Phase Sequence Detector
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The objective of this work is to design and construct a device that will check an incoming three phase supply sequence and indicate the phase sequence by the use of LEDs or computers. This device can indicate the 3 phase sequence of a three phase voltage supply for the range of 200volts to 500volts. Here, the line voltage/supply voltage is stepped down with the help of semiconductor devices and rectified. The rectified output is then sent to the microcontroller which detects the time when each of the 3 phase voltage level crosses from positive half cycle to the negative half and generates a corresponding signal which is indicated by designated LEDs to tells us if the sequence is in a clockwise direction (RYB) or anticlockwise direction (BYR).
