Abstract: This article discusses the crucial role of modern dictionaries in social development and their importance in shaping the thinking of the younger generation. It emphasizes the need to create educational, philological, and encyclopedic dictionaries in accordance with modern demands. The article also highlights the necessity of developing electronic corpus-based dictionaries and adopting the achievements of global lexicography to improve Uzbek lexicography.
