Effortless concurrency in agent-based modelling

Abstract: Speeding-up models using high performance computing techniques like parallel computing can be demanding and may require specialised software engineering skills. We present the open energy modelling framework FAME that is designed to create smooth transitions between single-core and multi-core modelling whenever required by the users and without the need of code modifications.
