Abstract: This dataset provides high-resolution maps (Figure 6 of the associated study) illustrating river dynamics and monitoring station distribution in the Peruvian Amazon Waterway (PAW) project area. The maps focus on the spatial characterization of river activity using the Morphodynamic (MOR) Index (low, medium, high) across the Huallaga, Marañón, Ucayali, and Amazon rivers. They also highlight existing infrastructure and monitoring stations deployed by national and international agencies. These maps aim to support future infrastructure projects by offering critical insights into river dynamics and the optimal placement of monitoring stations and structures. The dataset is presented in GeoTIFF format with a resolution of 600 dpi, enabling seamless integration into GIS platforms for planning and research purposes.
