Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Like any other retail store, Save for Less, located in Panabo City, has its share of problems with itsmanual operations. These problems include repetitive data input, contradictory records, slow transactiontime, and poor inventory control. Such issues hamper productivity and put the store at a disadvantage inthe competitive retail sector. This paper suggests an Information Systems Development Plan (ISDP) thatincludes both Transaction Processing System (TPS) and Decision Support System (DSS) technologies torefine the business processes so that decision-making would be more reliable. Real-time transaction datacapture enables accurate and timely business processes, including DSS analysis, plans, and decisionmaking. All business processes must be interconnected to operate efficiently and competitively within atechnology-based world.
