Abstract: This article examines the influence of digital communication on the development of discourse competence among high school learners. It investigates how the integration of digital tools and platforms into educational settings can enhance students' ability to engage in meaningful and effective communication. The study delves into the various aspects of discourse competence, including linguistic, pragmatic, and sociocultural dimensions, and examines how digital communication can positively impact each of these areas. Additionally, the article discusses the potential challenges and limitations associated with the use of digital communication in education and provides recommendations for educators to maximize its benefits.
