Eden-ricapps Study: Models to Predict Poor Outcomes in Emergency Department in Patients Over 65 Years

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This is the official site of the EDEN‑RICAPPS study, a collaborative research project jointly led by SEMES (Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine) and RICAPPS (Research Network on Chronicity, Primary Care and Health Promotion). The primary aim of EDEN‑RICAPPS is to develop models for early identification of poor outcomes among patients aged 65 years and older presenting to hospital emergency departments. These models are based on information available at the time of the initial emergency department assessment and are intended to support early risk stratification, clinical decision‑making, and patient safety. In addition to describing the study, this site also serves as a repository for methodological and scientific products derived from the EDEN‑RICAPPS project, including datasets and analytical resources developed during its execution. The full study protocol, including objectives, design, eligibility criteria, and outcome definitions, is registered and publicly available on ClinicalTrials.gov under the identifier NCT07194122: Study Details | NCT07194122 | Poor Outcomes Among Patients Aged 65 and Older Presenting to the Emergency Department(EDEN-RICAPPS Study) | ClinicalTrials.gov
