Guide to Spatiotemporal Heat Analysis GIS Package

Abstract: This document provides instructions for Graphical Information System (GIS) spatiotemporal pattern mining of Land Surface Temperature (LST) data to identify hotter areas within Prince George’s County, Maryland. Using the Space Time Pattern Mining toolset in ArcGIS Pro, with 2014-2024 NASA/USGS Landsat 8 Surface Temperatures, this document provides: (1) a synthesized workflow, and (2) detailed production steps for reproducing a spatiotemporal analysis in any user-define area following an example from Prince George’s County.
