Innovation of Respiratory Protective Equipment
Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE), a critical component of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), plays a vital role in safeguarding individuals from inhaling harmful airborne particles in healthcare, industrial, and hazardous settings. The COVID-19 pandemic notably accelerated global demand for effective respiratory protection, prompting rapid innovation in materials, design, and sustainability. Recent advancements in RPE have emphasized improved filtration efficiency, reusability, and user comfort, addressing the limitations of traditional disposable respirators. Additionally, efforts to minimize environmental impact have led to the development of more sustainable and durable solutions. These innovations have redefined the standards of respiratory protection, making modern RPE more adaptive and reliable in a variety of high-risk environments.
