Possibilities of using generative artificial intelligence to support education from the perspective of primary and secondary school students in the Czech Republic

Abstract: The paper focuses on the possibilities of using generative artificial intelligence (especially LLM) in education and home preparation of primary and secondary school pupils in the Czech Republic, using the results of the survey Czech Pupils and Artificial Intelligence (2024), which involved over 28,000 respondents from all over the Czech Republic. In our paper, we look at the differences in the use of AI among primary and secondary school pupils, what activities pupils use AI for, and what are the more advanced ways of using these tools (in and out of school) to increase the effectiveness of education.
