Abstract: Social media platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook significantly influence our professional and personal lives. However, their rigid policies and enforcement mechanisms can often leave users feeling powerless. This article shares my experiences with account suspensions on these platforms. While Facebook reinstated my account after clarification, LinkedIn permanently restricted it without explanation, unexpectedly leading me to pursue a new path as an author. This article explores the challenges of navigating social media policies, the stress of compliance, and the potential negative consequences of overly rigid enforcement. It advocates for a balanced approach to moderation and account management, emphasizing fairness and contextual understanding in policy application.
