Abstract: The Trichopterological Section of the Polish Entomological Society was founded in 2001 by a group of researchers to promote knowledge about caddisflies. They published the bulletin “Trichopteron”, which brought together researchers and enthusiasts, providing scientific information and popularizing the subject. The section organized workshops and seminars, supporting young scientists and amateurs. Despite successes, such as the release of 25 issues of the bulletin, the section’s activity gradually declined, mainly due to the small number of specialists and changing forms of scientific communication.
