Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: Annotation: This article explores the crucial role grammar plays in shaping narrative flow. It examines how sentence structure, punctuation, voice, and tense influence pacing, emotional depth, and the overall storytelling experience. Short, simple sentences are shown to create urgency, while longer, more complex sentences encourage reflection. Punctuation marks like commas, dashes, and ellipses control rhythm and tone, adding layers of meaning. The article emphasizes that grammar is not just a set of rules but a powerful tool that enhances narrative, even when creatively broken for artistic effect.
