Revolutionising Nail Care: Addressing Outdated Practices and Introducing Advanced Technologies
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The current landscape of nail care is marked by outdated techniques and harmful materials, resulting in suboptimal outcomes and potential health risks. Despite significant advancements in cosmetic and medical sciences, nail care continues to rely on traditional methods with little scientific backing. This paper critiques current practices and highlights their limitations, including the lack of proper training, insufficient regulations, and the widespread use of potentially hazardous substances. It then introduces a new approach based on modern technology, including nanotechnology, cold plasma sterilisation, smart materials, and advanced diagnostic methods. Furthermore, the paper advocates for establishing a competence centre for nail care excellence, aimed at bridging the gap between outdated practices and state-of-the-art nail care solutions. This initiative will focus on education, innovation, policy development, and research, ensuring a safer and more effective future for the industry.
