International Experiments in Assessing Creditworthiness
Year: 2024
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: Assessing creditworthiness has become a critical element in financial systems worldwide, particularly as economies globalize and the demand for cross- border financial services grows. The evaluation of creditworthiness, or the ability of a borrower to repay debt, plays a significant role in maintaining the stability of financial institutions and ensuring sound lending practices. Different countries have adopted various methods and frameworks to assess creditworthiness based on their financial infrastructure, regulatory environments, and economic conditions. This paper aims to explore and compare international experiments in creditworthiness assessment, evaluating the methodologies and outcomes in different regions, and their implications for global finance.
