Abstract: This research note describes a differential audio input amplifier using a bootstrapped power supply, having inputs presenting a low common-mode admittance and extended differential-mode and common-mode voltage ranges. This innovative differential audio input amplifier was disclosed in a patent of France filed in 2002, and later implemented in the balanced audio inputs of a digital loudspeaker processor.
