Abstract: I propose the Cosmic Debt Hypothesis: a theory suggesting that the universe began not from zero, but from a negative state, and that all subsequent existence—including energy, matter, life, and consciousness—is a process of repaying that initial cosmic debt. This document explores this idea in depth, presenting a mathematical framework and illustrating how it may offer a unique understanding of human behavior, economic systems, and existential purpose.
