Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Student affairs and services typically support and enhance the overall student experience by providing various services and programs that promote student development and well-being. The research focuses on the gap in the students' understanding of the role and purpose of student affairs and services. The study is anchored on the student development principle, which emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive school. The study utilized the descriptive research design, employing an adopted research questionnaire and utilizing a multi-stage sampling to select respondents from the seven schools of San Isidro College. The study revealed that students are well aware of the VMGO of the office of SAS, with high ratings in awareness, acceptance and understanding, relevance, and dissemination, though areas like student welfare services and orientation processes need improvement. The ANOVA test indicates a balanced perception across these dimensions, suggesting a well-integrated office of the SAS framework. However, there is a need to enhance specific aspects to further boost student engagement and support, particularly in student services awareness and individual responsibility for VMGO realization.
