Habitat:—The species occurs in the Cerrado and Subtropical Highland Grasslands, growing on sandstone outcrops and sand soil at an elevation of 970 m a.s.l. Geographic distribution:—Almirante Tamandaré: G. Hatschbach 10907 (MBM!). Bocaiúva do Sul: G. Hatschbach 6936 (MBM!). Campo Mourão: G. Hatschbach 8823 (R). Jaguariaíva: O.S. Ribas & L.B.S.
