Abstract: The article discusses examples of surgical hernia treatment in overweight patients. The positive and negative effects of using mesh implants for patients in this group were noted. Recommendations on treatment methods are given and a detailed analysis of the consequences of the operations performed is carried out. The problem of excess weight is one of the most common in the world, and in the treatment of hernias, obesity is the most common cause of relapses and various complications. Research on this problem will significantly improve the quality of life of patients in the future.
