Abstract: The article "A Fanonian Analysis of the Struggles of Incarcerated Students in Distance Higher Education" seeks to critically analyse the structural, psychological, and epistemic barriers faced by inmate learners engaged in distance education, utilizing Frantz Fanon's theoretical framework. The study was done in a prison in Namibia. The topic posed is: ―In what ways can Frantz Fanon’s theories of colonial oppression, alienation, and liberation be utilized to comprehend the structural and epistemological challenges encountered by incarcerated students in distance higher education?‖ A study of jailed students' experiences in online higher education through a Fanonian lens is very important for both theoretical and practical purposes.
