Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Somatoform disorders involve physical symptoms without a clear medical cause, often leading to significant distress. Effective treatment frequently includes psychotherapy, which aims to address the psychological aspects of these disorders. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic methods can help patients manage symptoms, reduce distress, and improve overall functioning. This abstract highlights the role of psychotherapy in the treatment of somatoform disorders and its impact on enhancing patient outcomes.
